For me cell phone security has concerned me more and more as devices get more capable. This was one of the reasons that I have really enjoyed the Apple iPhone and have now had two of these phones, the first being a 3G and the second a 3Gs.
However if you carefully read this articleyou will understand the fundamental difference between Andriod and Apple applications. The fact that Android apps can be downloaded from 3rd party sources makes the above scenario even more precarious.
I have a suspicion that once the critical mass of these phones hit the streets we are going to see another field day for the security companies with all kinds of anti-Malware and anti-Spyware installed on the Android phones.
For now I will remain safely within the confines of the iPhone walled security estate, rather than venture into the downtown red light district of the 3rd party Android market.

Day 3 started off with a lot to do and in terms of me also doing the 21 Day Challenge; hence the need to train for an hour a day.
I upped the amount of protein to compensate for not consuming any of the normal sources of protein like chicken or fish. The idea of a raw "fish" smoothie just did not appeal. I can eat sushi all day, but in a smoothie, hell no!
Breakfast Protein Shake
- 100ml (2 scoops) of high quality protein shake
- 250ml of rooibos tea - made 30 minutes before and allowed to cool
- pinch of green powder
- 5-6 sprigs of parsley
- 3-4 ice cubes
Blend in a high power blender for 1-2 minutes and drink.
Lunch - Banana and Avo Blitz
One of my favorite ingredients in a smoothie has always been avo. So for lunch today here is the avo and strawberry blitz
- Half a ripe avo
- 1 large banana
- 250ml 100% pure apple juice
- Handfull of Goji Berries
- 3-4 ice cubes
Blend in a high power blender for 1-2 minutes and drink.
Evening - Strawberry Surprise
The evening meal was one of the tastiest so far, the strawberry surprise
- One Medium Banana
- 3 Spinach leaves
- 10 medium size strawberries
- 200ml 100% pure orange juice
- Handfull of rolled oats
- Handfull of sunflower seeds
- 3-4 ice cubes
Blend in a high power blender for 1-2 minutes and drink.

Finally Apple Safari just got a whole lot better. Apple have added what they call Safari Extensions to their browser. I loved using Firefox in terms of all the plug-ins that are available for it for web development.
However, Firefox has a real problem with memory leaks and I found that if I left it running on my Mac for any long period of time it would eventually just slow it down to a crawl. Even with just one window open the amount of memory it used was terrible.
Safari 5.0.1 is a true 64 bit browser but it always lacked the extensions. Feel it, they are here! Click on the image to take a look at what is available..

Well with Day 1 of the 10 Day Juice Feast behind me, I thought I would give some feedback.
I ended the day exercising quite late which would usually have left me hungry, however this was not the case after the very filling smoothie I had for my evening meal
I slept very well and woke up more than an hour early feeling refreshed, which was quite an astonishing result after only the first day.
This morning I am going to make a smoothie with 2 of my most loved smoothie ingredients, banana and strawberry. I can honestly say that this is one of my personal favorite smoothies
Strawberry Zing
Day 2 Breakfast
- One large banana
- 200ml 100% pure grape juice
- 10 medium sized strawberries (about 125mg)
- 5-6 sprigs of coriander
- A handful of Goji Berries
- Thumb size piece of raw ginger
- Pinch of wheat grass (optional)
- 3-4 ice cubes
Blend in a high power blender for 1-2 minutes and drink.
