One of the things that I thought the iPad would be really good at would be blogging on the go. I have installed the BlogPress app for the iPad and this is the first test post using this combination. So far so good.
I have managed to connect to Flickr and Facebook using the app and if all goes well this will see me blogging far more regularly on a wider range of topics.
HTML is supported out of a drop down inside BlogPress as is posting pics from your saved photos. All pretty neat.

I have been using a 32G Wifi and 3G iPad for just over a week now. My initial impressions of this device is that it is a great piece of technology that may just change the way we work. Since this is in all honesty a version 1 of a product it is not perfect and there are a few quirks to be aware of.
If you are an iPhone user and have gotten used to iOS4 on the phone, then you will immediately notice the lack of some of the iOS4 benefit, especially multitasking which for example allows you to run Skype in the background while doing some other tasks. Apple are rumored to be releasing the upgrade to the iPad OS in the next month or so. As I am part of the Apple Developer Network, I usually get the beta releases a few weeks before but there has been no sign of it. I will post if I see anything.
In terms of the device and the applications, it is a really great user experience. The battery life is awesome and I love the iBooks app with all my PDF's loaded. For a consumer of books like myself it has opened up many reading opportunities that were not there before.
When I am out on the road now I only take the iPad and iPhone in place of my carry bag with the MacBook inside. I have to agree with Guy Kawasaki, the three devices work well together and if you use the free apps like Evernote to keep your notes sync'ed across all three devices it makes being a road warrior a joy!
