Collection
Objects
Objects begins with an engineer's curiosity about how things are shaped, joined, worn and used. The photographs look closely at mechanisms, crafted surfaces and ordinary materials that carry evidence of work. Copper, corrosion, glass, fire and reflection matter because they reveal function as well as appearance. The collection should feel attentive rather than clinical, finding character in things that were built to perform a task.
Precision and use leave different kinds of marks.
